This was taken very late afternoon, last light. This male was really full, one can see by his big stomach Nikon D3s 600VR. 1/250 sec at F4. ISO 2500.

Another great POV here Vivaldo, just love these low angles. Good colour and detail and nicely placed within the frame. I think some of the recent Canon hi ISO images are certainly on par with Nikon, but even at 2500, this certainly looks very good.

Personally I prefer, where possible, the subject looking into camera rather than behind you, but that's just me. Not sure about how you feel about any 'amendments' to your images, but I would be tempted to remove the white blemish by the top of the hip and the larger rock to the left parallel with the ears, but the later is no great deal.

Very nice image with the low angle. Superb image quality at that ISO. It looks like the lion might have trouble getting up on all fours with that full gut.

Vivaldo - good sharpness and comp. Agree with Steve on the POV. I like the drips from his chin. Well done. Btw where was this taken?

His eyes were obviously bigger than his stomach. Love the perspective here. Would probably clone out the white spot if it were mine. He really looks a bit out of sorts!!!

Agree with other comments but would add that he looks quite worried and I love the wrinkles in his back leg. You've handled the high ISO much better than I managed on my latest trip so I congratulate on this.

Thanks for all comments and suggestions it's appreciated

This image was taken at the main waterhole Nxai Pan Botswana. The problem there is that the ellies make huge dungs all over the place. I try cloning the BG and didn't like the results as BG looked a bit patchy, so decided to leave it as taken. I will try again to compare

    Vivaldo,

I would not worry about the dung, but the white patch at the rear leg can go.

I like the lions look - part interested and part a bit distressed; perhaps indigestion.

Very nice Vivaldo, like the pose and the very different...almost concerned look on his face...Still haven't seen a Canon that handles ISO like the D3s

Thanks Robert and Dumay for comments I have to agree with the white rock, it's distracting. I will edit
