Another older image given a new life with the Fractalius software. This was done with one of the glow presets and manipulated from there. I plan on entering this in an up-coming club competition so your comments would help greatly. Thanks in advance.

Joe, I like the composition and the curved stem. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers to photograph. The black BG looks great! I might reveal the one side a bit more.

Very dramatic presentation, Joel. I like the frac effect against the black BG. Looks rather tight on the right side, so I'd add a bit more room there. I might also lighten the leftmost leaf a bit. It's a lovely image, and good luck on the competition.

I'd also recommend lightening the left side of the flower and maybe taking out the far left leaf as there isn't much definition to it. If you can bring out a bit more detail there as well then I'd keep it but, if not, I'd clone it out and leave just the one main leaf and stem.

Beautiful composition with the curved stem. The dark bg makes it dramatic. Another vote for lightening the left side of the flower. TFS.

Joe, Great frac effect on tulip. Really like the dark BG and reds. I'm just a little lost on the left center. It's brightness draws my eye away from the flower. I think you have a wonderful subject and wish you luck in the competition.

Joe, beautiful frac work and I like the way the tulip seems to glow. I like the left half darker but would like enough detail to be able to see where the outer leaf attaches to the stem. Good luck in the competition

Hi Joe, very nice, another vote for lightening up the left side. I have only tried one flower fract so far, but I do love the effect of the filter on them. I too find that fractalius gives old images new life.
