Sweet image Chas. He does look cold! Been there in -30 so I know how it feels. Your usuall mastery of the techs is here as always. Nice composition as well. Wish I was there.

Captures the cold very well, who would want to be a bison?

    Great shot, wrap up warm

Great shot Chas, the image certainly illustrates that dense coat which insulates them from that biting cold and freezing snow. You can imagine one shake/shrug and all that snow flying off. This has a great feeling about it.

Hi Chas, like the fine intricate detail of the frozen hair on the bison, also good complimentary BG, and the exposed horn and nose. Makes me cold just looking at it.

The details in the frozen coating show up perfectly. Great work as always.

Great detail, sharpness and comp. It really conveys the cold well.

He certainly looks frozen, snow gives this image a great feel(mood). Vertical tight comp works very nicely, only wish would be to see his eye but I am being picky. Great Image TFS

I like the mood in here. Agree about seeing the eye.

Love the light and all the minute details you have acquired here on the ice and fur. At first I thought I may have prefered to see the eye, but I am not sure it would have told the story as well. I may give it just a tad more room at the bottom for the goatee.

I would normally tell you that I am envious of your shooting at YNP. However, at -40F, I think not! Happy shooting!
