This Whooper gets up speed by running on water for a very long way even into the wind!

I saw fantastic 500+ landing today - awesome, but all takeoff away from viewpoint

wished they looked round a bit as they leave

Like the water trails, dont like strong BG so much

    Richard:

I like the running action, perfect timing, with spray of water.

The angle away is not as engaging as towards us would be. The wind direction wasn't your friend here.

Unfort. that the bill was lost against the dark wave shadow.

Exposure looks good except for the rump, looks a bit hot there.

    Cheers

And may the wind and sun be at your back tomorrow!

Randy stole the words right out of my mouth!

Sounds like you have great spot there, and I'm sure you'll have better wind conditions another time!

Yes to bummer on the wind direction. And bummer that the bill got lost in the only bit of dark water in the whole image (caused by the wavelet....) Love the soft whites tones, the sharpness, and the running pose with splashing feet. The yellow looks very bright, possibly over-saturated.

From your perspective you did a great job as the detail and exposure and are spot on the only thing was the angle wasn't ideal but you'll get it next time.
