An image I've been after for close to three years but it's difficult to get the pair of Eagles I follow out in the open because they prefer the comfort of Pine trees in woods. The light was harsh and it was from the side causing shadows but there was no way around it...this tree was right on the edge of some woods.

The right wing tip was replaced using the left wing because there was a Pine branch covering it. A few other branches were removed as well and the image was rotated 10 degrees clockwise.

Good pose, perch, and wing repair job. I wouldn't mind a bit less room above, and more left and right. The light was your biggest issue here - but you know that already.

Very clean image and really like the details in the wings.

Love the bird's pose and the branch but would prefer seeing him less in the center of the frame. You may wish to consider more room on the bottom and less on top if you have that option. You have acquired nice details under the wings considering the harsh light and your clean up looks flawless. I would never have known.

I appreciate the quick feedback. This image is going to used as a book cover most likely at the end of the nesting season (I make one each year) and the crop was done like this for a purpose...room for the title. Someone on another forum pointed out how "muddy" or grey his head feathers were so I re-worked the image again...
