Well here goes another fractalius attempt. I am enjoying this plug-in. Some of my old images now have a new life. This was a zoo shot which was just OK for various reasons. But I think the frac. plug-in has given me another opportunity to do something with it. interested in your comments.
Note: After using the filter(frac.) , I wasn't happy with the eyes , so I cloned in the eyes from the original as I felt the face needed some life in it.

Joe, I love the look you came up with. I usually start by duplicating my image before running the fractalius filter so I can add a layer mask and reveal the eye. You are getting very good at matching up the right base image w/ the filter style. Nice work. Not sure if you wanted to keep the green cast on the Ape or not -sometimes the added color looks nice.

Very nice, I might soften up the fract work around the face just a bit.

Yes Joe Fractalius is addictive. Love the effect on the ape. Agree with Nick on softening up the fract on the face a touch and Denise offers excellent tip to add the fract to a background layer. Very nice work!

Thanks Denise. I saw the bit about making a layer and adding a mask after I did this image. The layer mask is much eaiser then clonning in the eyes. Always several ways to skin the proverbial cat in PS.

This came out really nice Joe. The fractilius effect works well on this image. Understand Denise's comment regarding bringing out the eyes more, but nice job!
