I don't usually post here , but just started playing with "Fractalius" and think it has alot of potential. Need to do many more images with it , but figured if I'm going to get good solid advise on this plug in(and I need it) this is the best place to go.
Original image was a color image converted to B&W with Silver Effects and manipulated with fractalius. Looking forward to all comments and suggestions. I know this is mostly nature related stuff , but havn't worked with any nature images as of yet. Will post a nature image next time.

I love the image and the treatment. Tell us about the guy in the picture. The sketched look is fantastic. What preset did you start with?

I like the B & W effect, just enough frac effect to make him have that weathered look, nice work

    Thanks artie,
The original was a portrait taken at a workshop on portrait lighting and the cowboy was one of the models. Almost all the people at the workshop wanted so shoot the female models so I had this one pretty much all to myself. Great fun and he was a great model. He had a few different costumes , but this was , in my opinion, the best one. Not sure about the presets , but will go back and check.

Thanks Joe. I am thinking that I would be photographing the lady cowgirls!

    Joe,

I like the B&W presentation along with the composition and pose. The Factalius effect you chose seems to work fine with the rustic nature and age of the model. Well done.

Hi Joe, love this sketched fract. It really looks great as a B&W too. It has a very old feel to it. I wonder what it would look like with one of Christopher's aging treatments.

That was exactly my thought too, so I gave it a quick play. Hope you don't mind, Joe. I applied just two texture overlays, but obviously you could take it much further if you wanted. I used "Trashed" and "Roughed Up" both from Shadowhouse Creations.

I love the details of his shirt and the texture in the BG. Either way, it's a wonderful portrait!

Like the pen & ink sketched effect Joe. Nice job, and Christophers aged effect works well too.
