Default Weekly Winners - Dave Phillips Tributes

Whew! This was beyond a doubt the hardest week I've ever judged, and that's saying a lot. There were just so many wonderful tributes to Dave this week, and I'm sure he would have loved every single one of them. Though Dave is gone, his spirit and inspiration will always be felt here on BPN.

Here are my choices for this week, but I wish I could have chosen them all because frankly, every entry was a winner!

First place - "Raccoon Fractalius" by Andrew McLachlan
An excellent frac image, and very similar to Dave's own style.
Love that cute face and I'm sure Dave would have too!

Second place - "OOTB Critter" by Richard Lovison
Wonderful frac cat portrait and a beautiful tribute to Dave's own cat images. Well done!

Third place - "Tribute to Dave Phillips" by Dan Brown
Beautiful fracced coot, Dan. A wonderful tribute to Dave!

Fourth place - "Spirit in the Woods" by Michael Gerald-Yamasaki

Dave loved to do flips, and this one is very like him. Well done, Michael!

    Fifth place - Tie -

"A Greenie for Dave" by William Maroldo
Beautiful image of one of Dave's favorite birds. Well done!

"Watching for Dave" by Cheryl Slechta
Love the mood of this beautiful DAP painting. A wonderful tribute!

I also want to mention Denise, Indranil, Kerry, and Ken for their beautiful tributes as well. I especially liked Kerry's moving tribute, "The saddest day in Cooterville."

Christopher, I really appreciate your judging for this week - I know it was very difficult but you made excellent choices IMO.

Congratulations Andrew, I really like this image! Super job.

Richard, Dan, Michael, Bill, and Cheryl - congratulations to you too and thank you so much for your tributes. Every entry this week was a winner in its own way and I want to extend a big "thank you" to all for making this tribute week so wonderful.

Tough job judging, but you did well Christopher. Good work this week by all... I'm glad I was introduced to Dave through these remembrances and his web site & the BPN archive.

    Cheers,

Lots of wonderful creative work posted for this theme. I am honored to have had my Raccoon image selected as winner in this tribute to Dave Phillip's work.
