    A limpkin taken in early morning with overcast skies. Several grasses were cloned from the bill aaand body area. Thanks for stopping by!

    Canon 40d, Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x
    Canon speedlite, Better Beamer
    1/50s @ f/8.0, ISO 400, 840mm
    Gitzo carbon fiber tripod, Wimberley head

    I like the bg.....just enough to hint at the habitat.
    The eye is beautiful

    The grass directly under center bill is a bit distracting....maybe just to me

    I like it, Great sharpness and the wet saturated feathers are nice.

    The only negative for me is the bill shine, I usually take as many as I can in a situation like this in an attempt to get a few with the bill angled in and shine-less.

    Yes, head angle police would get you here :)
    Also a bit tight for my taste. Habitat looks good to me and great detail and exposure.

    Thanks, Robert. I didn't know that bill shine was a no-no, epecially when caused from being wet. But that's what this site is all about, so thank you for correcting me! I'll see you in May for your class!
