    I was at La Jolla last weekend and make this image with a 1D4 and a 400 f/5.6. This was on Sunday when the winds were quite heavy.

    Thanks. I wish the waves in the background weren't as high as they were, I think it distracts a little.

    Great light on the head and underside of the left wing. I would crop some off the left and add to the right so that the wings were more on the diagonal.

    Thanks Alan, I'll give it a try.

    Indranil, the exposure settings were: f/7.1, 1/2000s, ISO 800. In retrospect I could have gotten away with a shutter speed of 1/1000s so the ISO could have been lower.
