What a beautiful bird Colin. I love the color in the bird. Detail and sharpness are great. Its to bad the BG wasn't a bit cleaner but I understand that we take what we get sometimes. Great Catch!

Loverly bird, perfect pose and head angle, and I like the BKGR. Is it holding a seed in its bill? Sharpness and EXP right on.

The only thing that bugs me is the bit of haziness in the llc.

The bird is feeding on seeding spinifex which is and arid habitat grass. It was so difficult to get a reasonably clean view. The flowering heads were about 1.5 m tall and dense. That haziness in the llc is a bit of grass in the near foreground. I've reduced the impact quite a bit but would be happy to hear of any ways to do better.

    Thanks for the comments.

Lovely image!! The haziness doesn't bother me at all.

Wonderful bird, great pose. I love the feet grasping multiple stems. Were it mine I might be tempted to clean up the catchlight just a bit.
