Welcome. I like the composition and the BG sky and how you caught the baboon in mid air. The shadows look just a touch dark, don't know if you can brighten them a little given the conditions you shot this under. Lots of helpful advice about shooting in Africa available here.
Thanks Steve. I will try to lighten. part of the reason the sky was so dark and the shadows so strong as we were about to get real wet. was not sure whether the baboon was getting out of our way are heading to a place to keep dry
yes - definitely a vervet monkey and not a chacma baboon
nice action here!
I wish the branch wasn't there (don't we always? :D) and I like how you framed the image on the LHS with the tree trunk. I would sharpen the monkey a bit more.
thanks for the feedback...It definitely is a monkey....The images just before it in my library were of baboons. ....so I am going to blame it on how I posted it after midnight
also if you can point me on where to gain some knowledge of how much sharpening is desirable, I would be so appreciate. I know how to sharpen both images and selective areas. but how much so far seems to be more ART than science and my untrained eye can yet discern when its too much, too little or just right
