    Default Playing Twister

    Attached Images Attached Images

Captured this young elephant bull at a waterhole in early morning light in the Addo Elephant National Park. He was busy scuffling with another young male and this pose made me smile.

    Techs:
    Canon 7D with 100-400mm L IS USM @ 235mm
    f7.1 @ 1/500 SS @ ISO-800

PS: we don't really play "Twister" in South Africa, but we get a good enough dose of American TV to know what it is :w

Like the title Morkel, fits nicely with the image.

Personally I think 'Elephant only' could stand another round of USM and a hint more around the subject?

So what do you play instead?

Just don't mention Twister to the folks living in the US mid western states. It get's played a lot down that way in summer I hear. :wh

Beautiful lighting on this elephant and the funny pose is great. Always enjoy the youngsters.

Love the head tilt/slight downward look here as well as the flared out ears. Are you sure he didn't just have to go to the bathroom and was just holding it in until you put down your camera?

Morkel - nice light and pose. I too like the head tilt. It looks like one tusk is longer than the other but it may just be the angle.
