    Hi Sharon,
    I like the composition, background and the colors which blend in and compliment the image. I would like to see a little more sharpening of the eye and bird...

    Yes, it looks a lot better. I'm having a heck of a time trying to sharpen my images. What I don't like about either image is
    the patchiness of red orange on the upper breast just below his right cheek. When I tried to brighten the image the blotches got worse. I guess by blotches I'm meaning those areas that are showing NO feather detail. I'm just learning, so I appreciate any help I can get! Thanks.

    It looks like you had a focus issue with the image because the tail looks sharp to me. You depth of field with that lens is not much even at F8.
