Default Blue-gray Tanager feeding on Plam nuts

Not a setup. I am fortunate to have a second floor hotel room with a palm tree off my balcony in Costa Rica. I leave for the cloud forest for setup shots in two days. I am extremely pleased with this shot. Brutal constructive critiques welcome. No alterations or cloning John Crookes :p

    Default Blue - Gray Tanager

    Hi Christian,
Very nice image, love the background and the colors, it really makes the little guy stand out. However, I would like to see the bird offset to the right of the frame; not in the center ( rule of 1/3rd ) and a little sharpening around the eye...:)

    Gus...

This is a very nice image, Christian. I also like the mix of colors and the way the bird stands out from the background. I like the composition as presented. Looks like a sharpening halo around the beak.

Really pretty CW. I love the perch. I think a bit more fill flash might have helped this one out. Hope you get some great stuff in the rainforest. Get ready for some slow shutter speeds ;)
