    Default Florida Keys in mid-February

Hey guys. I'll be vacationing in Florida (with family) and have a couple of days for the Ft. Myers area (I have Artie's site guide and so am pretty confident on where to go there). I'll be in the Florida Keys for several days and this is a location where I can't find much information on birding? Is it just not popular? Any tips, suggestions? Thanks.

    Aravind,

Florida Keys Wild Bird Center at Tavernier used to be a good place in the past. They used to feed pelicans and waders and lots of photo ops in close range. They changed ownership last year and new owners decided not to continue wild bird feeding. Not sure about current conditions and photo ops. Used to be one of the most reliable place for Great White herons. Call them and see if they are still feeding wild birds.
