    Joerg,

Nice shot - I like Shovelers, we get a lot of them here in winter but I never seem to get close enough to get them in flight.

I like the pose, BG is nice and nice eye. Lightening seems a bit harsh but you have captured the whites and other colours well.

If this was mine I would be quite happy.

    Well done and TFS

Joerg, I'm liking this shot a lot. The BG never intrudes yet communicates a sense of positioning. I'm thinking that the shot as presented here may be a little too hot. I relish the sharp eye and luscious green of the head, but the white immediately behind is getting loud.

Hello Joerg. I like the wing display, sharp eye, and bill, and seeing the feet is nice too. The BG works for me as well, but I agree with the others that the whites are a bit hot. Nice image.

Nice banking pose with lovely underwing detail and good eye contact. Love the background.

The light looks on the sweet side to me. The white neck could use a Linear Burn from where I sit. I love, love, love the image, the sharpness, the fact that he is twisting his neck to look back and you and give you a good head angle. Killer pose and nice BKGR.

Thanks Arthur. I love the image for the same reasons as you do. Shame on the whites though... The kind of unique pose of the shoveler occurred as it aborted its landing approach when it spotted me and kept its eye on me while making a U-turn. JR

Fantastic image, just love the colours and great BG. The pose is very different and like the eye contact. Very sharp too
