Winter Maples

Here is one more fractalius of some winter sugar maples at dusk. This time it is a group of trees in another nearby farm field.

Andrew, this is the best yet in your series IMO. First of all, the base photo and the clump of trees against a simple snow and sky FG and BG is excellent. Then just the right amount of fract treatment. Love the sky and snow colors. I think this might look really good in a simple frame. Superb!

Arthur, here is the original image. I did crop a smidge off the fract version due to funny inward-pointing lines around the edges of the sky. I personally prefer the fract version - I think it has more interest.

Andrew, it's a beautiful capture and you could do a lot with it. I do love the fract version too. I'm wondering what it might look like if you were to mask the effect in the sky or even take the blur tool to it to have a smooth sky.
