    Default Red Fox Fractalius

    Attached Images Attached Images

I added the Fractalius filter to this. I started with the Impressions 1 preset and created my own preset that I call "soft-fix", which a lot of you are already familiar with. If you are not you can go to my blog and view the tutorial. The link is on the right sidebar.
This look reminded me of one of the filtering effects Dave Phillips applied to one of his kitty faces.

    Denise,

Wow! Beautiful composition having both eyes looking at the camera. Love the Fractalius effect and the movement of the front paw. Outstanding.

Denise, you really know how to use fractalius to get the most out of a fox! Love the detail (especially in the black whiskers and on the face) and tawny red against a white snowy background. Eye contact is killer! Superb image!

Denise, love the soft use of fractalius on this one. The pose and stare of the fox is beautiful too! Very nicely captured and filtered!

Absolutely stunning, Denise! Love the soft feel of the frac effect, and that stare is a killer. Well done!

That is a beautiful fox and image Denise, and great application of fractilius. What is the story about capturing that image? What lens did you use?

Denise, the image you started with is fantastic and your soft-fix use of Fractalius takes this one over the top! I never would have guessed that this image had been frac'd.

I'll definitely have to search out your soft-fix method.

Brendan, That is an image from last year and I am not at my main computer for the file info but I would say that it was taken w/ the 100-400mm lens since that is what I usually use for the fox.

Denise, What a beautiful image for starters. This is fractalius at its best - excellent use of the filter. And, it does look very similar to some of Dave's work.

Denise, what a stare, and I like the low down pose. Those colours really pop from the snowy BG. Great work.
