Default Tribute To Dave - Early Morning Flight II

The thing I remember most about Dave is his encouragement and willingness to think outside the box, to try new things and get images that reflected his true vision.

This is an image that I previously posted, in another form. I have rethought the vision and given it a new light, taking it beyond the mere vision of a bird on the marsh to emphasize the morning light, as the bird ascends into the morning fog.

There were many tasks to this, including the following in CS4; Fractalius, Topaz Simplify, Topaz Adjust, Topaz Detail, Crosshatch Brushstrokes and other normal PS image adjustments.

Don't know if Dave would have envisioned it this way. But he would have encouraged the seeking of your vision, wherever it leads you. I would like to do the same.

    Enjoy!

    I'll second that motion.

I love the shades of red and yellow in the sky and the bird is nicely blurred. I'm guessing those are his little webbed feet sticking out beneath him? If so... I LOVE IT!

Lovely work, Mark. The bird rising into the sunrise is stunning and captures the mood perfectly. A beautiful way to sum up Dave's impact.

Mark, I know Dave would be so happy that he touched so many of us and that his spirit will live on. I love the way you presented this and the colors are great! I might try to blend the one dark line at the top where it looks a bit cut off. Nice work and an image to be proud of.

This is a stunning image with great mood, Mark! Love the bird flying into that gorgeous sunset over the water. Agree with Denise about blending the dark line at the top so the cloud tops fade into the night. The frame works very well with this image. This is great art.

Mark, this is very appropriate as a tribute to Dave's work. He would have liked your vision

Thanks Cheryl and Dan for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your comments, but the puter was burping all week. I think I may have found the problem but not the solution ... will have to check with the geek on Monday.
