    Default Bateleur ( juvi )

This is same Juvi Bateleur that Ive posted previously, from the Kruger National Park. When I first approached him on his kill, he was scared away by another vehicle. I then parked on the side of the road next to his kill and waited for him to come back. This is one of the images I captured of him walking back to his kill. Taken from my car. No it isnt a sports car, as the angle does seem very low.:w Captured vertically. Not much I could do about the road.

    Stuart:

I like the blood on the talons, raised foot, good separation from the BG.

With the road, only getting ultra low would have helped, but not an option here.

    Cheers

I would echo Randy's comments here Stuart. In an ideal world I guess I would have liked the same 'consistency' of BG to the right of the bird, although OOF, I do find the 'bush' a little irritating.

I am amazed at the quality you are getting out of that 100-400, nicely done.

I agree with Steve, this 100-400 quality wise is really excellent. I aways enjoy seeing these raptors, detail is excellent, like the raised foot and sharp subject. I also like the low angle but don't really like the road. Lovely image Stu

Excellent shot, the road doesn't bother me i am too busy admiring the bird - as usual outstanding detail.

Nice image of a beautiful raptor. The road is what it is, you captured great detail in the bird. Well done.

Great sharp details and I like the pose with the raised talon. The blood is a nice touch.

Another strong one from that series, Stu. I don't see how you could have done much better.
