Wonderful eye contact, ha, and sharpness, Todd! Great capture. The slight wing-tip blur, gives a nice feeling of movement. I like your composition; just the right amount of space top, bottom, fore and aft in my view.
Good luck on your trip this week. Glad I just happened to look in this afternoon :)

Nicely done Todd! Sharp eye and body, with a touch of blur in the wings. Have you tried brightening it a bit overall?

    Cheers!

    Todd:

Nice to see the dorsal spread so well, while maintaining good eye contact.
Agree with Bruce, it could go a bit brighter.

Did you do any post work in the area just above the head, and maybe on a horizontal line to the right of the head. The repeating pattern there caught my eye. Maybe just the lay of that field.

Good luck on your next adventure. Hopefully you will get some snow for some variety.

    Cheers

Hi Todd, good dorsal view showing the wingspan nicely. I do like the banking angle and eye contact, and the owl is separated from the BG very well.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.
Randy, no ps work done on image other than basic adj and slight crop from left and top for comp.
Will take a look at brightening just a bit.
    Thanks again.
