    Default Orange-crowned Warbler - Dry brush painting

    Hi Folks;

    OCW is very finicky, likes suet, and cage always shows in capture. so Gina came ujp with the idea to suspend a large pine cone slathered with peanut butter. Worked, and I got some photos of the OCW on the pine cone.

    I took this one into MS Photo Image suite 9, used the dry brush effect, then artistic stroke edges in same program, took it into CS5, put back a glint in the eye & toned down the bright areas on some of the peanut butter, gave the complete photo a slight darkening in levels.

    Comments alway welcome and very much appreciate.

    Gus

    Gus, I like both the images but the painting effect on the first one is really nice. I like as it is.

    Boy, he looks like he's enjoying that peanut butter! Great idea. I like the bird photo, and the painted version of the pine cone.

    I like both versions but have a definite preference for the OP.....it does look like a real painting!
