I first learned about DAP from Dave and was always inspired by his images. Here's one that I used DAP Benson on. One of Dave's tips that I will share is to use an image that starts out at 1200-1600 px for your input image, render at 10mpx and use 8k-12k strokes.
I used that technique on this image.
    Thanks for looking.

Dave must have taught you well... it's a beautiful image. Love the composition, colors and pose.

    Cheryl,

Greetings. Very beautiful! The color and painterly look keeps the eye moving (much more than a straight sky would). Just a little darkening of the brighter spot just to the right of the feet would work for me.

    Good show!

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Cheryl, I appreciate you giving us one of Dave's tips. I think this came out beautifully. I have always been fond of the Benson style in DAP. Nicely done.

Beautiful work, Cheryl. Looking through Dave's work, I've noticed that the Benson style was one of Dave's favorites to use. Love the colors and painting, and thanks for passing on one of Dave's tips.
