    Default Black Skimmer with Fish

I just arrived in Costa Rica for my workshop, and I've got a few hours to kill this morning. This image is from last year's West Coast Flight workshop (coincidentally, just announced this year's workshop :w). Skimmers have to be one of my favorite species to photograph (other than raptors)!

Beautiful capture. Love the composition and the wings-down pose of the bird. Even the positioning of the fish is perfect (not that the fish had much choice in the matter--lol).

P.S. I can't wait to get my ducks in a row to join you on a Costa Rica workshop. Maybe 2012. Darn day job keeps getting in the way of all of the fun stuff!

Superb,Doug, in all respects. The fish a real bonus. African Skimmers are also among my favourite birds.Magnificent fliers and the epitomy of grace and elegance.

Tack sharp Doug, with a flight angle. Overall, well exposed, especially on the blacks, and I like the colours. His catch a bonus.

This one has it all. A flight workshop in itself; every aspect of flight photography is shown to perfection. Ditto the above comments.
