Something a little different, from the Magnetic Hill Zoo in Moncton New Brunswick. There was little colour there to begin with so I converted to B/W in Ps. Cleaned up face a little. I wanted that contrasty "Karsh" look so played with Curves a little. Some face cleanup. Crop about to about 50% of original area.

An interesting composition John and without you telling us what it is, I'd have no idea what kind of animal this is. Would've been interesting to see the guesses.

quite like this abstract John (good to see you posting here by the way :D)

nice textures and compo, maybe try and punch the whites and blacks a bit for greater tonal range?
try running a dodge of about 7% on the highlights and burn of 8% on the shadows, see the effect ;)

Nice abstract John. Took a look at Morkels suggestion and the highlights are a bit bright for my taste even then, toning them down more works better for me (he like his contrast:D).

John, very good job and nice use of B&W. I would try a crop with the eye at a rule of thirds power point

A very striking image John and the B/W conversion has really enhanced the image. Good point raise by Robert re Thirds.

    Top shot.

Here's a try at getting better composition techs. I tried to do this with a vertical but it wasn't working for me so here is a landscape version. I boosted the contrast a bit more in this one.
