    Okavango River ,Botswana.
    These birds forage singly on the lily pads in the side channels of the River. Because of their long toes they spread their load and are easily supported by the floating vegetation on the surface. Also ,together with the African Jacana ,called Lily Trotters.
    Status : uncommon ,regarded as near- threatened.

    Hi Arno, I nearly asked you were you in a boat, but looked at your introduction.:w What a cool perspective, and I like your choice of comp. The raised foot shows off the long toes nicely, and just love the overall colours. Just gotta get to Botswana some day.

    Very cool! Great low angle (were you hanging off the side!) and the raised foot showing off the long toes makes for a beautiful pose. Techs look good, as does the vertical comp (cropped from horizontal?) The only thing that bugs me a bit is the dark reddish patch behind the bird.
