    The white on the belly of the dipping bird appears a little hot and would like to see a little cropped off the top of the image. Beautiful capture.

    Neat scene, and I love the identical poses of the two static birds. Too bad the lens had not been pointed lower for more of the reflection. As is I do agree it could be cropped from above, and the some of the brights toned down. Did you selectively sharpen the eyes...that stand out alot!

    In my experience so far scanned slides and whites are difficult to work with unless white is almost underexposed on the slide. I tried to tone down the belly ,but not completely successful.
    This would have made a great vertical with reflection ,but alas action too quick for me.
    yes the eyes were touched with a slight amount of selective sharpening. Too much ?

    Thanks Charles for elaborating on the image. Yes, I think the eyes look overly sharp compared to the rest of the image IMO.
