Taken along the road in Yosemite NP using the digital Rebel and the canon 100-400mm lens and a 1.4 tele set at 560mm and f8 and 1/1250 sec at ISO 400. These guys are quite shy and the rocks the hide in are pretty bright even though this was early in the morning.

For starters I like the over the shoulder head turn. the background is not distracting but as a whole the comp lacks something. Maybe if he were popping out of the rock rather than sitting on it. Some subjects just don't take an image well. Maybe not the case here, just worth a mention. As a whole your work is nice and I for one appreciate your posting it.

I really like the face detail and sharpness. :)

The colours and the look are terrific. The comp does need a little something as Grady suggests.

Roman, a good photo with great details and nice light. IMO the only thing ' wrong' with the comp is that it is too tight, especially on top.

I agree with Vincent in that it feels a tad too tight on top. Otherwise, I really like ti.
