    Robert:

It does have a very early in the day feel, with soft, warm light.

Nice angle in frame, comp, interesting but subdued colors in the background

    Well done.

    Cheers

Beautiful "start of day" feel to this image, and I love the flaming vegetation in the BG. I wouldn't mind a bit more room to take advantage of that nice BG but all-in-all quite a lovely image, well done!

    Hey Robert,
Love the look on this one.....but I am a questioning the specs......I'm pretty sure that 1/8000 is a typo......because at that time of day, it would be severly under exosed!......so 1/800 makes sense given the settings. I like tight comps.....so works for me as presented!!!

That's a good point, and I'd think so too. I double checked and it is 1/8000. I was probably shooting aperture priority and the sun, as early as it was, was directly on the egret. The iso turned out to be 560. Plus, I'd think at 1/800 there would be SOME blur, even on a slowly flying G.H. Thanks for the input, I've been doing photography for less than 2 years so I'm sill learning these technical issues.
