    Hello every body!

Sorry for my lack of participation, too much work! I have seen some amazing images in this forum though.

I made this image last week while with some Deep Green clients (Greg Basco's company) It was drizzling a little and the bird was tame enough to come close to me to investigate probably the white tube (lens) that I had in my hands. God, I need more of these cooperative birds more often!

    Very slightly cropped

    Comments and crittique most welcome!

Superb! Love the raindrops. Shame the background was so plain, but I'm sure others might think the opposite.

Love that red eye and the blue on the bill. And yes, the BKGR. Beautiful job with the black detail and a beautiful bird.

    Juan Carlos:

Good to see you back. Very nice techs, striking bird.

My personal taste would be for a bit more variation in the background, but it works well as is.

    Hope to see more.

    Cheers

    Randy

Thanks to all for your kind words! I agree that this BG is too plain but that was my intention for this one. I will upload another image with a more busy BG later.

Juan, Nice to see you posting again. Sharp w/ a nice exposure. I like the clear eye and I think the background is complimentary.

Excellent work on the dark plumage, and love the red eye, and colourful beak. The droplets add a nice touch too.

I love everything about this but my eye sees a need for a bit more sharpening on the face, especially the nostril and the blue area. The sprinkling of rain is really a nice touch. Gotta love the tamer individuals, eh!!

Interesting bird indeed. loved the exposure on the black. Agree with Daniel abt some sharpening of the face.
