Home is where the heart is...right? So show us the heart of where you live from now through the end of February by submitting an image of your home. Whether its a hut in the outback or a mansion on a hill overlooking the beautiful city lights, show us the place you call "home."
Here's a photo of my house to get things rolling. I grew up here - moved in when I was eight years old - moved out in my 20's, moved back in when the folks moved to California for a quarter of a century and then finally bought the home from my parents in 2002. It's located in a large suburban area in the middle of Kansas City, Missouri but because the homes are older, there are lots of trees and land on each lot. It's fun to look out and see the trees I climbed as a little girl all those years ago. Now I leave the tree climbing to the squirrels who inhabit my back deck chasing after the leftover birdfood from the array of feeders that line the back deck.
That's really neat! Would you please be so kind as to invite Linda and me to visit your cozy place?
We once lived at 2407 Wenonga Road, Leawood, Kansas, not that far from you. That was our very first home, where we lived when I was on the faculty of the University of Kansa Medical Center Biochemistry Department, and Linda was completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the same discipline.
We've moved on since then but fondly remember our experiences there.
