This was by far my toughest week yet for judging. There were so many different interpretations, so many nice images and I left out a lot of really nice images. These are the ones I have chosen:

1st - Leaf Abstract by Richard Lovison - I loved the pure simplicity of it with the stark background and the
fract. treatment. It was abstract in a different way from a lot of the other images but I thought it
was outstanding. Nicely done, Richard

2nd - Hooked on Dap Klimt by Michael Gerald-Yamasaki - I love Klimt, and I love Michael's interpretation
using a blurred image as the base. I really liked the fact that it was simple and intricate at the
same time and loved the soft colors.

3rd - Absolute Abstract by Gus Hallgren - This was so different from Gus's beautiful painting style and
I liked the fact that he started with a thrasher and transformed it into an abstract with just hints
of thrasher in it.

4th - Autumn Glow Abstract by Mark Fuge - I thought the colors and composition were beautiful in an
abstract way.

5th - Moonlit Maple Abstract by Keith Carver - I thought this was the best use of the emboss filter that
I've seen. Very nicely done, Keith.
