I had this Golden-Headed Cisticola in on uncertain terms tell me that I was too leave the reed bed that I was in. I was trying to shoot some shore birds and was using the reeds as a sort of cover. I took the camera off the tripod and hand held for this photo.

The only thing that bugs me is the tail - if anyone feels that they could fix that then have a go. I have tried without sucess :( so I have left it. I managed to drop the height of the branch just below the bottom leg as this was touching it.

    7d, 500mm + 1.4 ext, 1/3200  @ 5.6, 400ISO. EV 0.

    Thanks again, Tom.

Great shot sorry my skills would not extend to making a decent job of cloning. You may want to consider losing the stems on the right or perhaps just the OOF one.

Good title. Great expression, pose, and eye contact. The repost does look better, might even get rid of plants on R side as well since mostly OOF.

Great singing pose captured here Tom, and the golden head is very evident. Bird is nice and sharp with good HA and eye contact. I would consider removing the one long oof branch.

What a large beak for such a small character.:w Good calling pose, and I like what Chris did on the tail.

GHCs are one of my favourite species. I love their wheezy calls.
