    Default Bird of Paradise Abstract

I started with an in-camera blur of a Bird of Paradise flower. I used polar coordinates in Photoshop along with the Fractalius filter to create this abstract.

Very cool abstract. I like how this still looks like a bird of paradise bloom.

Elegant and graceful result, Denise! Beautiful colors against the black BG. I might tone down the white spot just to the left of the blue "horn."

    Nice image and application, Denise.

I agree the white spot could use some slight toning down. Also, I might have painted out part of the URC fade with black, but ... as they say! ....

Wow Denise, this is just beautiful with the simple and graceful curves along with the gorgeous colors. If it were mine, the one area I might experiment with is the upper right corner. It is the only area where color flows to the edge of the frame. Possibly blend them to black in another curve?

    Hmmph, so there!

Unless you tell me to remove it under threat of a visit from the photo copyright police, this image is now sitting in the middle of my desktop. :)

And I just now became aware (due to the image being on a black background) that there are lines in that URC color area that all point to the upper right. So the image looks as if it winds up in the center and releases its energy to the upper right point. This image gets more beautiful the longer I look at it.

Very cool & creative image Denise, I think you are on to something with the polar coordinates and fractilius combination. For some reason, I want there to be just a bit more blur in the lower center part of the design (where there is some white). But very nice energy and flow with intense colors and light in black BG!
