Hi Jeroen, what an interesting image, not used to seeing Bitterns on ice. Like the raised foot and especialy like the feather pattern. I might consider lightening the eye a little.
I agree with Stuart. In addition, I felt there is rather a bluish cast, and I think the color of both the bird and the ice looks better when that is removed. Must be very unusual to see a Bittern out in the open like that!
