I made this image at the beginning of the Elk rut this year at Rocky Mt National Park. It was nice to find a bull that some idiot wasn't running after in the field this year. Seems like each year it gets harder to find an Elk not getting harrassed.

Nice pose on the bull Kurt. Nice colors and good detail. How was the rut this year? It was rather slow in YNP and way too warm. Well done.

    Nice pose with great colours.

Somehow the white in the eye looks a little strange to me.

Perfect Kurt, great light and a perfect moment capturing the Elk in mid bellow. The angle taken, emphasising that feeling of staining to get his call out to the hinds.

Like the head angle of this one and how only a portion of the front leg is visible as he comes out of the grass. Also like the way the antler tips are lined up.
