Here is another capture from Bosque. I managing to capture this young crane right as he dipped his wing back into the water on take-off.

Very cool and interesting looking action pose. Beautiful light, awesome detail, sharpness, colors, and good job on exposure. Nice BG color and bands, dont think plants in BG distract too much, but could try version without. Wing dip and water drops put it over the top. Awesome job Kurt!

Nice and sharp Kurt. Nice action captured, only wish you were to his left farther to catch him coming toward you. Well done, a place high on my wish list to visit.

Kurt, nice perspective in this image. I like the wing position. I find the BG a little distracting. TFS.

Kurt, love the detail and spread of the near wing, and how its dipping in the water. The pano crop works well, although I would maybe add a bit behind him, and take off a little from the left. Pity he's flying away from you.

Beautiful image super exposure colours and detail. if it were mine I would add a little to the RHS and perhaps consider 4:3 composition. The grasses don't bother me but i suspect the image would look better without them.

Hi Kurt , what a beautiful sharp bird with lovely light and feather detail. Like the pano crop and action splashes. I also quite like the grasses in the background.
