This was taken in late 2009 in Florida. It is a crop with natural BG and taken at sunset. All C&Cs are appreciated.

Beautiful shot, Jim. Excellent detail and exposure with a pleasing background. The eyes on these owls are always stunning.

Is there a slight magenta cast to the image? Could be just the quality of the light at sunset.

Gorgeous image, with such a clean, complementary BG.

The ones I have access to photograph, seems like I can never get a clean BG.

Pretty impressive, Jim - 1/125 ss with a 100-400L handheld.

These guys never look happy to see a photographer. Love the eyes...so intense and an excellent portrait. Amazing sharpness with that shutter speed.

Great feather detail; actually prefer the magenta, as this was taken at sunset.
