    Default PS5 Mixer Brushes

    Here's my first attempt at using the mixer brush feature in PS5. Just as with the water paints in kindergarten excessive mixing produced some mud. Next time I plan to begin with an excessively bright and contrasty original and exercise some additional self-restraint.

    C&C welcome. I'll post the original for reference.

    George, You did a great job. The new mixer brush feature is not easy to use IMO. I like the fanned brush tip and might use it to soften some of the brush strokes. Beautiful original filled w/ detail.

    Nicely done! I haven't tried the new brushes yet but you're inspiring me to give it a go. I really like what it did to the texture of the wings and the BG is also very nice.

    As for the bird, maybe lightening up the underside of the head a bit and adding a catch light to the eye would brighten him up a bit more. I love the overall image - just would like to see that head a little bit more.
