Hey Kaus, great HA, and your normal low perspective works well. These guys have such lovely large bills dont they. Im in two minds about the hint of orange on top ( lovely colour )- maybe having more would have looked better. The pastel blue of the water makes up for it.

Great image as usual Kaustubh. Nice HA and eye contact, and got to love that big Shoveller bill! Like the bit of orange in tob BG to compliment the eye.

Hi Kaustubh, this is a lovely image, love the colours and head angle. I am with Stu, would definitely consider croping the top off. I also fell you have lost detail on the duck chest, white area. I am just being picky though Great shot.

On second thoughts, I agree....either do a wider crop to include more above and below or crop the top off. I'll go back to the RAW file to see if there are any details in the whites there. light was very flat...or a DOF issue. In better light, I'd have stopped down a bit.

Beautiful image Kaustubh! I like the low angle, sharpness and water. I would remove the orange at the top of the image as well.

    Hey KD,

Awesome, low angle shot just the way I like them. I think shovelers are a killer duck and your image shows this. Man, the eye is dead on by the way. Not sure what all that room is for at the top other than a magazine title but that's just my take on the picture. Great work, my friend!

P.S. That blue color is sweet.

Love the perspective and detail as well as pose. Great to see the two-tone BG and if you could leave some more room around the bird (especially below for virtual feet) and top to see more BG it would rock even more. Well done KD! :)

    Kaustubh:

I like the comp. in the repost better.

I could see a sliver of canvas added on our left, just personal taste.

    Cheers

Hi Kaustubh, like the full on pose with great HA and eye contact. Man what a bill. Maybe a few variations of comp could have worked here. Repost is great but liked that bit of orange in the original post.
