Going over some of my shots from a month ago I thought I'd post something perched.
It's not always easy getting clean shots of birds of prey.

    Thanks For Looking

Wow what terrific shot, I love the pose and the natural setting. I am not sure if there is a green/yellow cast - possibly light filtering through the foliage??

Jim, this is excellent. Loved the way you have placed the subjec tin the frame. Very good composition. The twigs on the left providing good balance. Nice pose, too. I am thinking the eye might appear sharper without the catchlight.

Hey Jim, the hawk looks like he's performing something on the high bars in gymnastics:w Interesting pose, and different. I would maybe take some off the top, and remove the leaves LRC. Great IQ here.

I agree on the slight greenish cast. I desturated the whites.
It was completely cloudy so your seeing clouds reflected in the top of the pupil so it is what it is.
    Thanks for comments.

Love the overall "feel". Sharpness of the habitat detail is really outstanding, and contrast with OOF background and lovely soft light put this over the top. Well done

    Jim,

This one has exceptional separation of the bird and the surroundings to the level of 3D effect. I agree with Chris that the shot has a great feel.

Hi James, wonderfully composed image with beautiful light. Like the inclusion of the habitat and as mentioned above techs are spot on.
