Okay, this is by FAR the weirdest thing I think I've ever posted in OOTB. I started with a crocus macro and twirled it, waved it, liquified it and then added an eye. Hmm...

Very cool! I love the waves and curves, colors and the bird!

Jules, This is crazy for sure! I love the way you created an embryo look from the crocus. Not sure what will hatch from this.
BTW-I am very happy to have the old schoolface back! Thanks Jules!

That is a bit trippy, but a cool abstract design. Looks like you had fun creating it! (were you blasting the pink floyd or something? )

    Jules,

I really like the concept and effect. Well done. I think the composition would be even stronger if you cropped out the border of light and dark humps. I feel it distracts from the main subject which is quite unique and interesting.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I wasn't cranking the Pink Floyd - my mind just came up with this on its own...how scary is that?

Richard, I agree that the border of humps is odd but the fact that they came out in a half-egg shape made me leave them. I certainly agree with your point, though.

Oh well - it was fun!

Very cool , and fantastic colors. Have you considered turning it so it appears that the "head" is facing to the right?

My uneducated guess is that this is a Phoenix in the first stages of rising from the ashes.
