Was amazed at just how fast these owls are. Wish for a little more light and snow:) for next trip up for this guy.

While you wish for snow, I wish for an image with greenery like here...we're never satisfied!!:p

"Bullet" is an apt term for this speedster. Well done keeping track on the side profile flight pose. I wonder how this would look like as an horizontal with more space in front and less above. I also would add a bit of red on the owl, all that grass seems to have added a greenish cast to it.

I am dying to photograph the NHO, and you folks up north are having a field day with them this winter! Love that yellow eye! I agree with Daniel's suggestions regarding crop and color cast. There seems to be a fair amount of noise in the bird's far wing. Also, fine detail could be a little better in the head.

Nice flight shot with good detail in the face. Wish has been used more SS. I agree with above suggestions. Thanks

Great sighting and capture Todd, and I would give a few things to capture ANY Owl. I like how the owl is separated so well from the BG, and with your existing comp, I would maybe move the owl higher up. Dan's suggestion of a horizontal will also work.

Hi Todd, nice flight image of this guy and good sharpness considering the SS. Like the wing position and great eye contact. Just love the markings on these guys. Agree with Daniel re the possibility of a horisontal comp.

Awesome Todd nice and sharp I think I might like this better as a horizontal but IQ is excellent.

Thanks everyone. Re: crop there is only cra* in front of the bird so it has been cropped into a vert from horizontal. I would have to place the bird in a different bg as a composite for that. I did that for another image with different wing position (no intentions of posting here as to the ps work).
