I'm always feeding the birds in our backyard. Last year I bought a new plastic container to make filling the feeders a little easier. Soon after, however, I found the container spilled over on our deck with a small hole chewed in the top. I soon realized that it was one of the many squirrels in the area trying to get at the food I was so selfishly leaving in the container. This year I put the container back out hoping to catch the culprit in the act like I did last year -- only this time I would have my camera ready. Anyway, after only a day, I got the evidence I need to get the bird feeder police involved...

A really cool pic. Those little tree rats are everywhere. TFS.

Mike, nice forensic photography. I have done the battle of wits with these guys, and they really give you a good run...

Mike, you have no idea how much I empathize with you! I had TWELVE of the little critters on my deck Saturday morning! This photo really sums it up - they will stop at nothing to get to the food!

My favorite trick is to put vegetable oil on the pole holding the bird feeder - and watch the fun when the squirrels try to climb.... :wh
