    Kaustubh:

There is still enough detail visible in the whites to look good.
This would be a good candidate for a multiply blend mode on the whites in PS if you want to try and tease out a bit more.

I like the pose and angle of bird in frame.

The image is rather unbalanced, with all the masses on the left. Would prefer something on the right to balance it a bit. I know, you didn't have time to plant a tree or move in a hill on the right!

I like to look at photos like a painting, thinking about how I would paint the picture, arrange the composition and masses, etc. It does help when you are trying to visualize the best setup, position to shoot from.

    Cheers

    Randy

    Nice shot!

How does this look with a little less blur applied to the background?

Very sharp and a nice pose. You could pull down the whites in the hottest areas just a little more. Why not try cropping the right side at the right edge of the last shrub projecting up into the sky?

Randy, agree about the imbalance. I was happy to get one sharp with the right angle.
Doug, will try your suggestions as well.
George, I havent applied any blur to the BG. NR might have caused some softening. Thx for looking.

Kaus, on my six-year-old laptop, your BG seems noisy, but note that the problem could be my monitor. I say this because if you decided to do more NR on your BG, I for one wouldn't mind the blurrier BG.
