    Default Waves

This started out as an interesting reflection of clouds and trees in the water at sunset. I hope I can remember all the steps. Processing included removing detail/softening with Topaz filters. Duplicated the layer and used Pixel Bender Twirl. Added a texture. Created "snow" layer and duped the layer. Ran Pixel Bender Oil Paint on snow layer. On duped snow layer I inverted it and used multiply mode for black "snow" which mostly disappeared. Merged layers and ran Topaz Adjust to pump up the colors. I also used the Ps sponge filter in the process.

Judy, Reminds me of an illustrated wave. Very cool effect. I like the colors and the comp. on this one. The straight lines at the very top seem just a little out of place w/ the rest of the image. I might blend them a bit more if it were mine. Nice creative work!

Thanks Denise! I worked on it for your suggestion and then I got carried away! It's now called "Monster Wave":w

Both versions are nice, Judy. I like the shades of blue and wavy pattern very much. The image has a nice sense of action and "thrust" to it. Well done.

Judy, I like the second version the best. (Where did the wolf come from - he's cute:))(Actually he looks like a wolf in sheep's clothing).

Thanks! It does look more like a sheep face doesn't it? Funny how faces can appear from flips. I just added eyes and nostrils and a hint of a mouth :D

Excellent work, Judy. I love the effect - feels like hand painted.

I'm going with the first one which I think is perfect. Just love it! Fabulous graphic quality. Wonderful shades of blue with white to set them off. I like the off-center composition with the waves moving to the right, but then having those wave caps curling back to the left at the top-left of the image to keep the waves from going off the frame. I think this would look great large and on a wall. Just wonderful.
