Had a chance to sit in the woods behind my home this weekend. This cardinal was spending some time at the birdfeeder. C and C welcome. Too much space on the left?? I kinda like it but am curious about other's thoughts...

Mike, in response to your question, I think it might look some better a bit bigger in the frame -- cropped some on the left, top and bottom.

    Hi Mike,
I like the detail in the feathers. I do find the OOF sticks/twigs in the top left portion of the image a little distracting. Did you try and clone them out a bit? I also like the detail in the eye of the bird!
    well done!

Awesome pose on this beautiful individual. I like the perch, except for a few of the extra tangles. I also agree the OOF branches at left are distracting. A crop from top and left would strenghten the comp IMO. Great BG colours!!

Thanks for the comments, gentlemen. I will play around with the crop some more while trying to maintain some of that space on the left -- I kept coming back to that earlier. :o

    Mike,

Fantastic subject, nice light and feather details would like to see him slightly larger in the frame. Very nice image.
