    Although the BG is a bit busy I quite like the banking pose

    Chris:

    It is a nice pose, as you mentioned, with nice detail in blacks and whites.
    Good angle in frame.

    Overall I like the background. I might try to tone it down just a bit, but the bird really stands out as is.

    I am not sure I have seen this species before, always enjoy a new one!

    Nicely separated from the BG Chris, and a good close up of the spurwing goose. You sure nailed the ss here.

    Excellent image Chris, nice and sharp, like the wing detail particularly the visible spur. I too think the background is great and compliments the image.

    Chris, I am liking the Bg here. Although busy, subject separation is nice and top-to-bottom it is evenly blurred. Perfect bird angle here and terrific blacks. A slightly wider crop might also work.
