    Wonderful subject. Light seems a bit flat. Perhaps some more contrast in post processing would help. Also feel it needs to be cropped tighter as there is alot going on that doesn't add to the image. great potential here , with a bit of work.

    Thanks for the comments - light was flat! These guys are extremly rare and so I had to take what I got! I wasn't sure about the crop (presented here as shot with no crop) because I really like the green on the right and the hollow log. Perhaps some off the bottom?

    I'm ok with the crop, if this is FF you have the luxury of coming in tighter if you wish putting more attention on the pine marten. Great find. I agree with a bit of contrast boost to make him pop. Great eye contact. Was this taken near Cooke City? Well done.

    I like the inclusion of environment here, but agree it looks a tad flat and that the subject doesn't stand out that well. Selective lightening of the animal will improve this greatly, as will selective tasteful sharpening :)
